This time Wancher has made a very special wristwatch with very interesting concept, inspiration and technique in their watch.

As per the pictures you all must be wondering what Wancher Gurkha watch looks different especially the tilting shape What is this? And Why like this? Yes everyone has these questions when they see this watch at the first time. But if you are the real maniac of the tactical army watches you will get to know why this watch is like this etc. But never mind even if you don’t get it I will explain to you in simple words about this watch and I’m sure your definition, usage and selection of the wrist watch will change after using our new innovative watch.

Inspiration and Concept

The 30 degree angle tilted dial inspiration and concept has been inspired from the World War 1 pilot watches. If you study the old pilot watches used in WW1 there were not wrist watches put pocket watches used. The pilot has to always take the watch out from the pocket in order to see the time. In war time this was troublesome because a single second’s miss will lead to his death and his defeat to the enemy. So many pilot put tied their pocket watches to their thighs in order to see the time accurately and speedily. 
In that time the strap tied to their pocket watches were tied to the lugs and the lugs were not on number 12 and 6 as traditional wrist watches but on numbers 3 and 6. Which suggests us that the lug on the numbers 3 and 6 is the perfect lug in order to make the watch timepiece accurate and exact on place.

The 30 degree angles dial watch

If you carefully see the watch the watch dial is tilted to 30 degree angle. Traditional watches are straight in 90 degree angle keeping the 12, 3, 6, 9 numbers at the 90 degree angle. This is because when you are driving or working in an office on the computer in order to see the time you need to move your wrist in order to see the time properly. This is really troublesome in situation like the busing studying or working or sometimes impossible if you are driving. But with our new innovation of 30 degree angle dial you don’t need to move your wrist at all you can see the time properly. Because when you see at the watch you see the 30 degree angle from your eyes to the watch dial which makes it impossible if the numbers are in the 90 degree angle like the traditional watches. But if you slightly change the eyes and dial angle to the 30 degree you will see the time exactly without moving your wrist. The inspiration of this dial is from the WW1 soldiers even if now in modern world with not real battlefield but we are fighting everyday with our work, business, studies and other situations where time is money and even a single second miss may shot us differently similar to the soldier in the battlefield.

WANCHER Gurkha

The Gurkhas also spelled as Gorkhas, are soldiers from Nepal. Historically, the terms "Gurkha" and "Gorkhali" were synonymous with "Nepali," and derived from the hill town and district of Gorkha from which the Kingdom of Nepal expanded. Legend has it that the name may be traced to the medieval Hindu warrior-saint Guru Gorakhnath who has a historic shrine in Gorkha. Gurkhas are traditionally recruited from various Nepali hill ethnicities, but do not come from a single group or region in the multi-ethnic country. There is Gurkha military units in the Nepalese, British and the Indian army enlisted in Nepal. The Gurkhas are one of the oldest tribes living in the Himalaya regions. The Gurkas were also one of the brave soldiers who fought for peace and harmony many years back in the hilly Himalaya regions. The Gurkha fought bravely with the British during Indian subcontinent colonial period. But later the British Army recruited the Gurkhas in the world war for their impeccable bravery and honesty.

Dial Case

As we wanted to make the concept of the Army Tactical Wrist watch, by this you can understand in simple words that we wanted to make the wrist watch is light in weight, long term use ruff and tuff watch used exactly same as the battlefield on order to win the battle. So first we decided about the case material. As you know now days many wrist watches are made in stainless steel with the steel strength but this makes the watch heavy. Secondly we thought of making it of plastic PMMA which will make the watch light weight exactly same as the US Government issued Army watches. The US Government issued army watches are made of plastic which are extremely light but these watches are use and throw type watches and we definitely don’t wanted to make the use and throw wristwatches so we finally decided to make the watch case of Aluminum which is lighter than the stainless steel and can be used for long term unlike the plastic PMMA resin made watches.
The case of this watch is made of the full aluminum with longer life line.

H Shape Dial

You must be surprised that the watch dial is H shape small. Yes it is small not because it is for the small hand but for special purpose and can be used to any kind of small, big hands without any problem. The special purpose of this small watch dial is it makes your watch lighter than the mundane watches. And also it will help to make your Lugs unbreakable.

Lug ( horns)

This is one of the main points of this watch. Normally in any wrist watches if you see the easiest to fall part of the watch is its lug or horns. Lug or horns are the surface where you connect the dial with the strap and after many time use this part falls apart because of the increase in the surface tension in the lug while wearing it on your hand and the other reason is that the dial case and lugs are made separately in normal all watches.
But in Wancher Gurkha watch this lug is the strongest part as the whole case is made in H shape and all made in 1 case and not making it separately. This Special H shape while help to not exert much tension on the lugs making it secure and unbreakable.

Case Back

The case back of this watch unlike any American Traditional watches is screw back stainless steel made. Screw back case has 2 main important points firstly the screw back case are easy to repair for any time. Secondly it is also easy to change the battery anytime making it smooth to use whenever the battery change is required.

Zero

The zero represents no limit and no borders making all of us irrespective of race, culture, language, religion, color as same and only one Human.

Crown

The crown on this watch is not at the number 3 but instead it is at the 4 if compared to the traditional watch. This also has special reason in order to prevent accident. When we fall on our hand the big crowns located normally at number 3 may injure our wrist by if it is at number 4 then it may prevent injury to the wrist.

Movement

In this watch special Japan Movement Quartz has been used. We all know the Japan movement quartz long history and benefits of the movement in the wrist watches.

Special Mineral Glass used in this watch dial.

Strap

The strap used on this watch is the hard nylon cannot cut easily strap. This strap used is same as the US ARMY Government issued watches with superior quality.
