This time we have bought a very special pen designed by Wancher and made by Nakaya (Platinum, Japan)
Wancher has also made lot of various innovative pens and one of their specialties is the ebonite material. Many pen experts do research in Wancher on different pen parts to have unique and different pens with different art forms. Wancher team went various countries to explore different cultures writing instrument and got various knowledge.
Our ebonite experts always wanted to make the similar Ripple ebonite pen like the 1923 year Waterman.
Please look carefully the ebonite used in this pen and you will understand the ebonite is same as the Waterman Ripple year 1923 made fountain pen. This pen was a big hit and very popular when it was made in 1923 with the rubber material introduced in pens body.
After that many pen brands started using different kind of ebonite material in fountain pen. According to the various pen writers and pen experts the Ripple ebonite pen from waterman had the best quality and that pen had something which mesmerized many people.
After that the Japanese pen maker (Platinum) Nakaya Pens tried to remake the Waterman ripple Ebonite fountain pen in around 1965s. This pen also got lot of popularity and it was a perfect remake by nakaya.
We contacted many pen companies who are interested in making the collaboration with us for this ebonite ripple fountain pen from year 1923. But many other pen brands could not find the exact ripple material from year 1923.
But we didn’t give up on us, our teams determination was strong. We contacted Platinum , Nakaya pen companies in Japan. They were very happy to collaborate with us. Platinum and Nakaya are same companies with different brand concept. Finally nakaya could find the exact similar ripple ebonite material used in 1923. Nakaya also makes very beautiful pens so we decided to make the Ebonite Ripple fountain pen with the Platinums nibs and Nakayas Ebonite ripple material and Wanchers collaborating idea,theme and design. These 3 companies have put lot of efforts to bring this remake of the pen to all the writing instrument users all over the world.
